517 Living Community Week
October 1st - 7th, 2024
Michigan's Greater Lansing Area is packed with enriching businesses, organizations, people, cultures, activities, and events, and 517 Living dedicates the first week (10/1 - 10/7) of every October to celebrating and supporting them. This seven day, multi-venue lineup of festivities is known as 517 Living Community Week.
ALL Greater Lansing Area businesses, organizations, and creatives are invited to participate in this annual celebration by organizing special events, activities, and offers for the entire community to enjoy. The goal is to saturate the first week of October with live performances, festivals, mixers, wellness activities, workshops, open houses, parties, comedy shows, competitions, exclusive experiences, featured menu items, themed dinners, shopping perks, and all other kinds of local fun.
How to host a 517 Living Community Week event:
Create a unique event. (Have fun with it - collaboration is encouraged!)
Host the event at your own venue or venue of choice.
Mention 517 Living Community Week in your event description.
Your event must take place some time between October 1st and 7th.
You're all set!
Example: Host a coffee and donuts meet and greet at your business or venue of choice, featuring a local artist and musician.
Other options:
Offer a special edition item or an exclusive deal to the community!
Post the information to your own platforms and to our group wall (not to the 517 Living calendar).
